Our History

Archibald & Hamel, Inc. was founded in 1968 as a Manufacturers’ Representative Agency. The founding partners were Joseph J. Archibald Jr. and William D. Hamel. In 1985, Mr. Hamel retired from the company and sold his interest in AHI to Joseph J. Archibald, Jr. Under Joe Archibald’s guidance, the company continued to grow and to become widely recognized for its professional capabilities, dependability and unexcelled integrity.

In 1998, Joe Archibald, Jr. sold his shares to his son, Joseph J. Archibald III who worked with AHI for 22 years. In 2003, Richard Meek joined Archibald & Hamel as Joe III’s partner. In accord with this transaction, the company changed its name to “Archibald & Meek,” with no other changes in operating procedures between any of its industry associates.

Archibald & Meek continues to grow every day, yet business practices remain the same. A&M strives for excellence by serving its customers and manufacturers like no other rep agency.
